On Wednesday, November 13th, Goodwill Technical College welcomed hospitality and medical billing professionals to our campus for mock interviews. Leading up to this interview simulation, students prepared their resumes, cover letters, and communication skills. Then, our gracious interviewers Aracely Martinez and Emmie Golemi, were able to evaluate and coach each student on their professionalism and interview responses.
Brigid Miller, the Career Services Specialist, said of the experience, "It was incredible to hear such great feedback from Emmie Golemi, who was one of our interviewers. Seeing the students walk out of their interviews more confident than when they walked in was the goal! It is such a joy to see our students improve and succeed!" After meeting with our guest interviewers, students felt more comfortable and confident in their job-seeking process. "Being prepared really helped, and it boosted my confidence," said Erica Pepp, an upcoming graduate in medical billing and coding.
Goodwill Technical College would like to thank Brigid Miller, Aracely Martinez (LSU School of Allied Health), and Emmie Golemi (The Blood Bank) for their contribution to the mock interview event.
